Vietnam North - South Discovery 14 days / 13 nights

 
   
   
 
Day 1: Hanoi arrival (D)

Arrive in Hanoi’s international airport, our guide will welcome you then transfer to the center of Hanoi by car. Check in the hotel free time to relax after a long flight.
 
 
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - Hanoi - Lao Cai( B, L,D )
Hanoi is the oldest capital city in Southeast Asia. Up to now, Hanoi has been one of the few cities in Asia left entirely void of the western-style boxy business architecture. Hanoi has always been a symbol of culture and a source of pride throughout the history. This tour is designed aimed to give you an opportunity to enjoy an absolute and adorable Hanoi. Small streets with old houses, friendly people with typical Vietnamese smiles offer you the true feeling of this capital city.
 
In the morning, we pick you up early to visit Ho Chi Minh Complex with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, and Ho Chi Minh Museum. A short drive to The Temple of Literature - The first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11 th century to admire the beautiful construction and learn about Royal court and Vietnamese talents.
Have lunch in local restaurant. Short time to relax before takes a drive ahead to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology . Back to downtown for refreshment by Hoan Kiem Lake - a cup of tea or coffee . Night train at 9h30 PM to Sapa (soft sleeper with A/C). O/N on train.
 
 
Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa – Dragon Jaw  Mountain (B/L/D)
At an elevation of 1,600 meters, Sapa is a delightful former French hill station situated in the mountainous region of Vietnam 's northwest, close to the Chinese border. The region is home to many ethnic minority groups, each wearing traditional and colorful attire. This trip includes a trek through the hills and valleys of the Sapa region, discovering several different minorities along the way.
 
Arrive Lao Cai Station in the early morning nd transfer to Sapa, high in the Hoang Lien Range of mountain, check in hotel. Breakfast or brunch is served. Visit Sapa town, Sapa Post office, Valley view walking… Having lunch before trekking up to Ham Rong mountain, enjoy an amazing panorama of Sapa town, visit Orchid garden, Traditional ethnic village….Dinner in Sapa.
 
 
Day 4: Sapa – Cat Cat – Silver water fall  - Overnight train back to Hanoi (B, L, D)
Trekking to Cat Cat village ( Black H’mong ethnic minority) in the morning. Lunch at the hotel & check out, then transfer to Silver waterfall, nearby Heaven gate via vehicle. Transfer to the Lao Cai city, visit Upper Temple, Lao Cai International bordergate. Have dinner at the restaurant. then bus will pick you to train station for overnight train back to Hanoi .
 
 
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong bay (L, D):
Halong bay, the magnificent heritage with its 2000 islands rising from the emerald water of the Gulf of Tonkin . Ha Long is an excellent example of a Karst landscape created by a complex chain during millions of years of geological movement. Let us take you back in time on a fascinating relaxing journey along the Red River Delta to the World Heritage Site, the Halong Bay.

Bus and guide will pick you up at your hotel. On the way to Halong city enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong board Halong Phoenix Cruiser . Lunch is served with a welcome drink while the boat is cruising the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascape with Fighting cock, Dog Rock and Incense Burner . After visiting Amazing cave we stop at a floating house and go kayaking to Luon cave to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the bay. Fresh fruit platter will be served followed by a dinner between 6h30 and 7h00 pm. Overnight on board.
 
 
Day 6: Halong – Hanoi (B,L):
Enjoying sunrise breakfast and cruising around the clear & emerald water to another part of Halong bay with a close up view of stunning limestone peaks ….Stopping at Gia Luan Dock for picking up-dropping off passengers and keeping on another side toward Halong harbor. Feel ready to have lunch on board and enjoy the rest of the boat trip. Arriving at Halong dock have short break before en route to Hanoi. O/N in Hanoi
 
 
Day 7: Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc (B, L):
Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are two of the most beautiful landscapes of Ninh Binh province, just 120 kms to the southeast of Hanoi. Hoa Lu was the ancient Royal capital during the Dinh and Pre-Le dynasties which lasted for 41 years (from 969-1009). In comparison with Hoa Lu’s cultural significance, Tam Coc is considered as “Ha Long Bay” in land because its location and formation.
 
In the morning, bus and guide will pick you up to travel to Hoa Lu, about a two-hour drive from Hanoi . On arrival, you will visit two temples, one of them dedicated to Emperor Dinh and the other in memory of Emperor Le, followed by a brief visit to the remains of the Old Palace . You will have lunch in Tam Coc, enjoy the taste of Vietnamese cuisine.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Tam Coc (three caves), a peaceful valley among limestone ‘karst' hills. There, you will be rowed along a gentle river between paddy fields and through the caves. In the late afternoon, you will return to Hanoi for overnight accommodation.
 
Day 8: Hanoi - Perfume Pagoda (B/L)
The Perfume Pagoda is one of the highlights of the Hanoi area and one of the most important religious sites in Buddhist Vietnam. The pagoda itself is situated in a huge cave built into limestone cliffs and can only be reached by boat as there are no roads.

 

Bus and guide will pick up at your hotel at 8a.m. we have a two hour drive through the picturesque countryside and back roads to the village of Duc , where we get on a small boat for a one hour trip up Yen Vy stream to Thien Tru Quay . You may trek up (or take cable car) to the mountain to Huong pagoda . After having lunch, get to Thien Tru Quay to visit more beautiful and precious sculptures, taking photos, worshipping, getting on boat again back to Duc Wharf . Get back to Hanoi . O/N in Hotel.

 
 
Day 9: Hanoi - Hochiminh City
Free & leisure until our driver will transfer you to for departure.
Arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport in Hochiminh City , you will be met and driven to your hotel. You will have time to relax after your journey. Your overnight stay will be in Hochiminh City .
 
 
Day 10: Hochiminh City Tour
Boasting an electric, near palpable energy, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is Vietnam’s largest metropolis and its undisputed capital of commerce. For the casual visitor, Saigon – as its still called by all but the city officials who live here – can seem a chaotic mess of traffic-clogged roads and urban bustle, with nary a green space in sight.
 
 
 
At morning :
 You will visit Giac Lam pagoda that was built in 1744 and is regarded as the oldest pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City. You will also see Thien Hau pagoda built in early 19th century, Chinatown, Binh Tay market, Ben Thanh market. With a stop for a while at a lacquer shop, you can buy some gifts for your friends, beloved relatives.
 
In the afternoon :
We will take you around Ho Chi Minh City from downtown Saigon to Chinatown to get a general view of it as well as its history and culture with stops at Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) that was built in 1963 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture, the War Remmants, passing by Notre Dame Cathedral (built in 1877), the General Post Office.
 
 
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Cantho (L)
Mekong Delta was formed by sediment deposited by the Mekong River and the process still continues today.  The land of the Mekong Delta is renowned for its richness and most of it is under cultivation.  Its product includes rice, coconut, sugarcane, fruits and fish.  A major activity in the Mekong Delta is boating. 
 
Depart at 8:00 AM to Cai Be by air-conditioned bus. Have a motorized boat ride to see round Cai Be floating market with local people being selling, buying, exchanging goods from their boats.Walk around to see orchard, rice paper making, rice scrispies producing process, ect…Stop for a rest, a free Vietnamese lunch including tropical fruits, traditional music. Boat through a village to see peaceful tranquil life of villagers, admire marvelous natural setting of Mekong Delta region. Take a boattrip through some islands and cross Mekong river to Vinh Long. Crossing lower Mekong river to view Can Tho city by ferry. Overnight in Can Tho.
 
 
 
Day 12: Cantho - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
3-hour boat trip to discover the beautiful Cai Rang floating market and its surroundings. Visit a rice husking mill, fruit gardens.  Enjoy tropical fruit (free). See the peaceful life in the rural area. Have lunch  in Can Tho before going back to Saigon. Stop to visit Vinh Long market and MEKONG REST STOP in My Tho
 
 
 
Day 13: Hochiminh City - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi
Cu Chi Tunnel is 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City in the Northwest. It is miniature battle versatile of Cu Chi’s military and people during the 30-year struggle longtime and fierce to fight invading enemy to receive independence, freedom for motherland. It also is the special architecture lying deeply underground with many stratums, nooks and crannies as complex as a cobweb, having spares for living, meeting and fighting with total lengths over 200 km.  
 

You will visit the Great Temple of Caodaism in Tay Ninh, about 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City. The Temple is built on nine levels that represent nine steps to heaven at which you will see a prayer session at noon. Caodaism is a Vietnamese religion with its philosophy based on Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Christianity. Its tenets include believing in one God, the existence of the soul and the ability to communicate with the spiritual world.

You will stop for about 2 hours to visit Ben Dinh tunnel, a section of the 200 km-long Cu Chi tunnel network that was built over 2 decades and used as an army base during the Vietnamese-American War. You will be amazed at the tunnels with their underground storeys including trap-door, living areas, storage, weapon factories, field hospitals, kitchen, command centres, etc. You can also fire M-16, AK-47, carbine rifle

 
 
 
Day 14: Hochiminh City - Departure :
Free & leisure until our driver will transfer you to for departure.
